Important Notice – Scam Alert!

Jury summonses are mailed through the U.S. Postal Service. The Clerk & Comptroller’s Office never contacts by phone jurors who failed to appear. Additionally, law enforcement will not, and does not, demand payment, in lieu of arrest, due to failure to appear for jury service. Should you receive a phone call saying you have failed to report for jury service, and you are asked for personal information or payment, this is a potential scam. Read the public notice about the scheme (PDF).
