REPRIEVE FOR COVID-AFFECTED FORECLOSURES, EVICTIONS

Gov. Ron DeSantis against backdrop of yellow, red, and black no-evictions signs

Monday, Gov. Ron DeSantis extended his previous moratorium against evictions and foreclosures for renters and homeowners adversely affected by COVID-19. Executive Order 20-211 is effective through midnight, Oct. 1.

The order does not provide for the suspension of other types of mortgage foreclosures or eviction proceedings.

The Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller’s Office continues to accept filings from property owners for evictions and foreclosures. The Clerk of Court also can move forward with issuing summons, proceeding with sales, and issuing titles and writs of possession on specific cases described within the order.
